Machine Adjuster

JOB PURPOSE:

Maintain and adjust automatic envelope converting/folding machines to produce a quality product at optimum performance to meet company and customer expectation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set-up envelope converting/folding equipment for production runs including size changes and windows on W+D machines.
  • Monitor the machines on a continuous basis to ensure consistent operation, quality of product, minimal waste.
  • Provide reporting to supervisors and management at the end of each shift; sign off on daily production reports completed by machine operator.
  • Communicate with other shifts regarding concerns about equipment, maintenance, and all relevant information.
  • Schedules and performs maintenance to the envelope converting/folding machines on a regular basis.
  • Perform quality checks
  • May need to periodically act as a machine operator and complete other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain clean/safe immediate work area (as well the greater work area).
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Basic reading, math, ruling and keyboard skills
  • Lifting 5-50 lbs. throughout shift
  • Ability to use hand tools, and work with inks, chemicals, solvents, and adhesives.
  • Standing 10-12 hours while performing production tasks
  • Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, turning throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Adherence to all safety rules including wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and clothing that complies with Company policy

Machine Operator

JOB PURPOSE:

Produce a quality product at optimum performance to meet company and customer expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate envelope converting equipment by following all standard operating procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Monitoring glue levels
  • Inspecting, packing and stacking finished product
  • Obtaining/preparing carton supplies for each job
  • Performing quality checks
  • Reviewing samples to job ticket specification
  • Maintaining/recording job times and quantities for reporting, job tickets and computer software entry
  • Maintain clean/safe immediate work area (as well the greater work area) including but not limited to:
  • Cleaning/washing equipment parts
  • Keeping carton area clean and orderly
  • Cleaning gum boxes as needed
  • Cleaning around and under equipment/gathering used rags
  • Emptying/disposal of waste and recycle containers
  • Stacking/organizing skids
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned

Production Floor Assistant

JOB PURPOSE:

Perform an array of functions that include receiving and processing incoming stock and raw materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with shipping & receiving goods/materials
  • Pick, pack, and ship orders to customer specifications
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Maintain accurate inventory in proper warehouse racking and storage areas
  • Record and maintain inventory levels
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned
  • Organize items to company standards
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Basic reading, math, ruling and keyboard skills
  • Lifting 5-50 lbs. throughout shift
  • Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, turning throughout the shift

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Forklift and warehouse experience required
  • Good communication skills

AMC Machine Operator

JOB PURPOSE:

Produce quality envelope blanks by use of an automated cutting machine used in the manufacturing of envelopes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sets up and operates automated cutting machine to cut envelope
  • Manually mounts paper rolls onto machine fixture, manually using overhead hoist and hand tools
  • Monitors operation of cutting machine to detect malfunctions and informs supervisor of any problems
  • Inspects blanks for quality issues
  • Removes cut piles of envelope blanks from table, stacking on skid
  • Performs quality checks on envelope blanks
  • Maintains/records job times and quantities for reporting
  • Maintains clean/safe immediate work area
  • Cleans around and under equipment
  • Additional tasks as assigned
